Who's who?
The Technical team, which consists of the Head of Technical and Technical Department Administrator, is augmented by six Heads of Department (lighting, audio visual, stage management, risk and compliance, staging and sound) immediately before each Festival. Up to 200 theatre technicians are employed on a temporary basis for the duration of the Festival itself.

Head of Lighting – Dave Elcome
Responsible for all lighting and power requirements for Festival performances
Head of Stage Management – Carrie Hutcheon
Responsible for arranging rehearsal rooms, translators, specific wig, wardrobe and make up personnel, props and firearms.
Head of Sound – Tom Zwitserlood
Responsible for all sound requirements for Festival performances, this includes FOH sound, comms equipment, monitoring, etc.
Head of Risk and Compliance- Steve Richards
Responsible for all Health and Safety and ensuring all working practices comply with the most up to date legislation and guidelines.
Head of Staging – Alastair Gow
Responsible for all staging and build requirements for Festival including, drapes, rostra, scenic requirements, flooring requirements and rigging.
Head of Audio Visual - Mike Hannah
Responsible for all AV requirements including, projection, plasma screens, CCTV and display software.
